Georgina & Grant’s Relaxed & Natural Engagement Shoot in Brighton

Last week I met up with Georgina & Grant for their engagement shoot in Brighton. We sat out in the sun for a coffee to chat wedding plans before taking a walk along the beach together. One of my favourite parts of engagement shoots is the chance it gives me to get to know my couples ahead of their big day and create some natural and relaxed photographs together. I love to hear about how people met, the moment they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and all the other funny stories that come with relationships and planning a wedding. So by the time the wedding day comes around I feel like I’m photographing friends.

I had a great time with these two, they’re such a lovely couple and an absolute pleasure to hang out with and photograph. You can view my most recent wedding photography here or see more of my couples engagement shoots here.

Here are some of my favourite images from the shoot.

Georgina and Grant have known each other for over a decade but their paths crossed again through their band, so the beach front band stand was a lovely place to capture their relaxed and natural engagement photographs.

After spending a wonderful morning with them, I’m so excited for their wedding day at The Milling Barn in Throcking.

I always try to capture the way my couples interact with each other, so that their photographs portray who they are as a couple, sometimes the photos that capture the essence of someone are the tiny imperfect in-between moments. It’s these moments that are usually my favourites.
