Vintage Wedding in Islington by
Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer
Weddings are by nature occasions where you’re surrounded by love, but Amanda & Richard’s wedding was absolutely brimming with the stuff. Unashamedly and whole heartedly honest love. Their relaxed wedding day revisited some of the places where their journey first began together on their first date and ended in their favourite local pub in Islington. We had such a great time with Amanda & Richard and are over the moon that they love their photos. Here’s what they had to say about their wedding photography:
“My husband and I very much wanted natural wedding pictures which would not only show us in our best most flattering light (which, let’s be honest, you really do want from your wedding pictures), but which would also shine a light on who we are as people. We wanted pictures which would be fun, and capture not only our joy but also the joy of our friends and family in our day. Our pictures do that. They really do.
Within a couple of weeks of booking Amber, my husband and I had met with her and Tom to talk through what we wanted (for instance my husband wanted some pictures in our local pub with his best man and ushers before they left for the church), and how the day would go (Amber with me and my bridesmaids in the morning, and Tom with my husband and his party while they went to the pub and then took the tube to the church – which made for some great shots).
I value a lot of things from the service which we got from Amber and Tom, but these are just a few of the things which have stuck with me the most:
- Amber and Tom are really such genuinely lovely people (this might not seem that important to you now, but Amber and Tom will be a part of your day. They’ll be there while you’re getting ready and when you get married and when you have your first dance. Trust me, it matters)
- They’re really talented photographers. Let’s be honest: being nice is all well and good, but they’d better be able to deliver the goods at the end of the day – and they do. In buckets. We really couldn’t be more happy with our picture, they’re everything we wanted them to be.
- They listen to what you want. They get that this is your day, and while they’ll make suggestions to help improve on your ideas, they respect what you want from your pictures, and do everything they can to realise your vision.
When we received our beautiful photographs and usb package, it was wonderful to re-live the day all over again, with more tears and laughter. They added some extra surprises which made it all the more special. We would absolutely recommend Amber & Tom to anyone.”
Seeing family heirlooms and photographs incorporated into the day really struck a chord with us and was a beautiful reminder of how important our job is and why we love capturing these memories for people. As well as striving to make our wedding photography packages as eco friendly as possible, it’s really important to us that we capture weddings with a honest and natural approach, so that in the weeks or decades to come after the big day you’re able to relive all those real moment and emotions.
We always have a great time photographing London weddings and we adore Islington especially, so if you’re looking for creative wedding photographers in Yorkshire, Leeds, London or further and you feel a connection between our natural and relaxed approach then do get in touch, we’d love to hear all about your weddings plans.
