An Intimate elopement at the Royal Crescent by Bath Wedding Photographer
This morning, I opened my son’s curtains and we saw a very special sight indeed. The Magnolia tree’s first buds are starting to open up. You can catch a glimpse of the purple petals peeking out. There is such comfort in the change of the seasons, especially spring. I for one, cannot wait for lighter days.
That said, as the days grow lighter and longer, my mind starts gearing up. Ready for the busy season that comes with being a wedding photographer during summer. And when wedding season is at full tilt it can be hard not to wonder what a ‘normal’ job would feel like. I’ve recently been photographing more and more micro weddings. Which, I suppose is the closest a wedding photographer could get to a 9-5 job.
That day, dropping my son at preschool and heading over to The Royal Crescent in Bath. I was giddy with the knowledge I’d be shooting a lovely intimate micro wedding and back in time to pick him up.
This lovely couple eloped and planned to surprise their loved ones with their news at a family celebration later that weekend. It can be so easy to get lost in the wedding world of what your day should look like. I’m all for planning your day, your way. So if that means a huge bash, brilliant. But if you’d rather have a relaxed intimate elopement – that is equally as special. Your plans should be your own and as unique as you are.
