Becky & Chris’ relaxed and fun Wetherby Wedding by Creative Wedding Photographers Yorkshire.
In today’s blog we’re heading over to The Bridge Hotel & Spa in Wetherby for Becky & Chris’ fun, relaxed and vintage Yorkshire wedding. As soon as we met during their search for creative wedding photographers in Yorkshire and after having the most lovely afternoon with them both for their engagement shoot in Ilkley near Leeds, I knew their wedding day was going to be a barrel of laughs! From the moment we arrived in the morning, Becky’s family and friends really welcomed us into the celebrations and we had such a great time with them. It’s always a huge compliment to us when guests ask us how we know the bride and groom.
Their wedding day was blessed with beautiful sunshine, which along with the southern european architecture of the venue made it hard to believe we were at a Yorkshire wedding! One of my favourite touches to their day was their thoughtful wedding favours, for each guest a donation was made to their local hospice and each guest was gifted with a badge as tribute.
Did you know that the bridal penny comes from the victorian rhyme “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe”. And is a tradition to ensure the wealth and good fortune of the couple.
Thank you Becky & Chris for having us as your wedding photographers, we had such a great time with you and your guests. If you’re getting married and looking for fun and creative wedding photographers in Leeds, Yorkshire, London or further! Do get in touch as we’d love to hear from you.
