Lene & James’ creative Yorkshire wedding at Northorpe Hall
The weather here in Yorkshire is dragging us soggily into Autumn, so I’m sharing this lovely and sunny, fun wedding we shot at Northorpe Hall this Summer. James & Lene’s wedding was relaxed and rustic with a hint of vintage. Lene added nautical touches to the venue but my favourite personalisations from their day were the eco friendly hand made bridal bouquets Lene and her bridesmaids created together. The origami style shapes create a beautiful and eco alternative to natural flowers, as well as being fully recyclable. If you look super close, you can even see the gold skeleton leaf I sent when they booked us to photograph their wedding!
Lene looked gorgeous in one of House of Mooski’s gowns, which looked super fun on the dancefloor! If you’re looking for a wedding dress that has a vintage twist and quirky style definitely check them out.
My second favourite touch from the day was the thought that had gone into choosing their music for the day, from start to finish their wedding was set against music from their favourites movies, games and bands. I mean, it’s not every day you’re waiting for the arrival of the bride, accompanied by the Sims loading music. AMAZING! From there the day unfolded with an amazing vintage VW camper, lots of drinks, space bopper races & crash landings, lots of dancing and an ice cream van.
We had such a great time capturing Lene & James’ wedding and we hope you all enjoy it too! You can also check out their relaxed engagement shoot (featuring a very cute pooch!) here.
