Stow-on-the-wold Wedding
by Cotswold wedding photographer
I had the absolute pleasure of capturing a beautiful autumnal wedding in the charming Cotswold village of Stow-on-the-wold. Autumn is without a shadow of a doubt my favourite time of year. Especially for photographing weddings. The warm hues and rich tones really enhance the photos. And because, at that time of year, the sun is lower in the sky. We’re also treated to gorgeous soft light. Yes, please!
The ceremony took place at St Edward’s Church in Stow-on-the-wold. Reportedly famous for its fantastical doorways, enveloped by ancient trees. Which are said to have inspired Tolkien when writing Lord of the Rings.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a journey on a vintage double-decker bus. With the happy couple following behind, in a classic Bentley. Back to the bride’s family home for a Marquee reception. A marquee that was overflowing with beautiful blooms, decorated by the talented floral designer, Jennie from Liberty Lane Flowers.
A brass band greeted guests and kicked off the party, whilst corks popped and drinks flowed. And the party concluded, quite literally with a bang, with an incredible fireworks display.
