Best Unique wedding venues in The Cotswolds
The Cotswolds isn’t an area of outstanding national beauty for no reason. We all know those images of beautiful cottages, overflowing with wisteria. Fit for the front of a postcard. And whilst as a Cotswold wedding photographer, I’m lucky to be surrounded by a wealth of beautiful barns and rustic places to get married. There are some especially quirky venues too, perfect for creative wedding photography.
Quirky & Unique Wedding Venues in The Cotswolds
Today I’m sharing some of my trusted favourites, as well as plenty of venues I would love to shoot at!
Owlpen Manor
The Matara Centre
On the grounds of a grade II regency home, is an Asian inspired garden which is a unique find in the Cotswold countryside.
Cripps Barn
Cripps is an 18th-century stone barn that has a quality of natural light, or lack of it should I say. That’s the perfect mix for capturing unique and creative wedding photography. Set amongst private woodland and farmland means it’s a photographer’s dream.
I personally love being able to combine both natural and industrial backgrounds into my couple’s galleries. Simply for the variety in tones and textures. If you’d like to see more, you can head over to the blog to view this amazing Cripps Barn Wedding.
Elmore Court
As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of venues. And Elmore Court is definitely up there. From the front, it’s a beautiful Cotswold estate fit for the next regal smash hit on netflix. But tucked away at the back of the building is a contemporary Eco-build. Home to Elmore Court’s Gillyflower. A wonderfully warm reception venue that feels fit for a royal.

Soho Farmhouse
If I could choose any venue to become a permanent resident of, Soho Farmhouse would be it. It’s like a super luxurious version of the good life. And even the standard good life with a chicken or two would be fine by me.
Roman Baths
Unique and historic. A place that makes you feel like you’ve been transported through time. Which is kind of what your wedding day is all about. You’re creating and living out your family legacy. I am beyond excited to be capturing a wedding at The Roman Baths later this year.
Painswick Rococco Gardens
Another Cotswold wedding venue with a unique garden backdrop. Painswick Rococco Gardens has a landscape like no other. The Rococco style is a feast for the eyes, so it’s bound to be a fave of any Cotswold wedding photographer.
