Marlene & Chris’ Wedding at Leeds Town Hall
& The Cross Keys Pub
by Creative Yorkshire Wedding Photographers Amber Marie Photography
It’s New Years Eve, a wintery Yorkshire day and arriving at Marlene’s house before the sun was out to capture her getting ready for their big day. Marlene looked gorgeous is a fun, knee length Pronovias wedding dress paired with her mint green DIY hair and shoe accessories. Whilst Chris wore a Sleek DNKY navy suit.
The best thing about a Leeds Town Hall wedding is that we had so many great locations for couples portraits right on our door step. Guests can take a while to travel to the reception, creating a perfect window for portraits straight after the ceremony.
Marlene’s family had flown half way across the world to celebrate the wedding. If I hadn’t know this already, I would have thought both families spent weeks at a time together
The Yorkshire Wedding Card Company ensured Marlene & Chris travelled in style in their classic cream wedding car.
Marlene’s cream and white wedding bouquet was created by Leeds Florist Leonora Rose.
As a surprise for Groom, Marlene had written a love note to him on the bottom of her shoes.
My favourite moment from the whole wedding day is when Marlene & Chris’ acoustic singer, Ellie Coast, serenaded them before their guests arrived at the reception. They hadn’t planned a traditional first dance, but instead had this lovely private moment together and I’m so glad I was nearby to capture it.
Leeds Town Hall is a great place to get married with so many wonderful reception venues on your doorstep. The Cross Keys Pub had a lovely relaxed, warm and rustic vibe. Perfect for a winter wedding on New Years Eve.
