Relaxed Wedding Photography from Sumiyahh & Humza’s beautiful Spring wedding

The last 18 months have without a doubt, been the strangest times I’ve known. After a long hiatus from wedding photography, I was beyond delighted to be back to work. Since restrictions eased, my first day back shooting was Sumiyyah & Humza’s beautiful spring wedding.

Coalville Registration Office Civil Ceremony

Sumiyyah & Humza had a simple civil ceremony at the Coalville Registry office in Leicester. As the saying goes, something borrowed, something blue. Sumiyahh wore a beautiful lace cover-up that her sister wore on her wedding day.

Abbots Oak Wedding Reception

After the nuptials at the registry office. Sumiyahh and Humza headed over to Abbots Oak for their reception. Abbots Oak is a beautiful Grade II stone-built country house in the Leicestershire countryside. The current owners lovingly restored it and created gardens that are a photographer’s dream when it comes to group portraits.

Bradgate Park Wedding Photography

Whilst their guests settled down for lunch. We headed out to Bradgate Park for some couple’s portraits. Once there, it’s hard to believe just a few minutes ago we were in the heart of Leicester.

Unbelievably, Sumiyyah effortlessly hiked up a huge hill in heels! Passers-by enjoyed congratulating them as we walked through the park.

If you want to use a location like this for your wedding photos. Have a chat with your photographer. As often there are permits that need to be paid for and they can help organise this on your behalf. However, the costs of location permits are covered by the couple.

Abbots Oak Wedding Photographer

As you can see, Abbots Oak is surrounded by beautiful gardens and views over the countryside. There’s a beautiful bluebell woodland too. Which I’d love to explore next time I’m shooting there.
