River Cottage Wedding Open Day by

The weekend was the first ever River Cottage wedding open day. Despite the clouds in morning, it was a day full of glorious sunshine, amazing food and hearing lots of lovely wedding plans. You can’t get much better than that as far as open days go.

It’s always a real pleasure to be back at River Cottage, and extra lovely to meet some amazing wedding suppliers as well as seeing some familiar faces too.

The farmhouse was set up ready for an outdoor ceremony. Did you know that for your wedding to be legally binding you need to be stood under a solid structure. If you wanted to have your dream outdoor ceremony at River Cottage you can tie the knot under the farmhouse doorway.

Alternatively, you can get married in the beautiful barn which is always super cosy. A great option if you’re due to be wed in the colder months. Sally & Jack did just that, you can check out their winter River Cottage Wedding here. Or you could opt to have a blessing in the gardens, so you can get married under the beautiful flower archway – just like Abi & Richard’s River Cottage Wedding.

I love the wedding stationary by De Winton Paper Co. Styled alongside more lovely flowers by The Real Cut Flower Garden. Simple table settings really work at River Cottage as you really don’t need to add much to make the Barn look amazing.

It was so lovely to see The Real Cut Flower Garden at The River Cottage Open Day. They created the flowers and flower crowns for my first wedding at River Cottage.
